Youth Activities
Colchester United Community Sports Trust offers many youth activities, mainly aimed at young people aged 11 to 16 who may be bored, vulnerable or at risk of turning to anti-social behaviour.
Current activities include:
- Streetball leagues which provide opportunities for young people to work in teams
- Saturday morning five-a-side clubs for 7 to 12-year-olds, offering structured play opportunities
- Positive Activities for Young People (PAYP) which gives young people sporting and educational opportunities during the school holidays
- A weekly league for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. This is open to young people from six special schools, giving them the chance to participate in weekly matches and mix with others in a social environment away from school
- Hair and beauty courses
