Streetball

Streetball is an activity set up for young people in Colchester and the surrounding districts. It is targeted very much as crime prevention and a deterrent against nuisance behaviour. It also aims to give the youngsters vital social skills by encouraging them to make decisions by selecting and managing their own teams, promoting respect for their local sports centres and recreation grounds and preventing vandalism of the premises.

The leagues continue to run during the winter months courtesy of our portable floodlights which were funded by the Football Foundation.

The leagues are run on a 3v3 or 4v4 basis under the supervision of the Trust's Coaches and with all the equipment provided by the Trust.

The mobile Streetball Leagues are run in Colchester, Clacton, Harwich and rural surrounding areas on a weekly basis.

To find out when Streetball is in your area email our Positive Futures Officer's at streetball@cucst.org.uk

I have MS and after my last attack I lost all of my confidence and there were some things I just couldn't do. The keep fit sessions with Angie have really helped. The Monday sessions are really good as they help you to keep active. The most important thing though is the company.
