Colchester United Community Sports Trust (CUCST) is one of the leading sports charities in the country, delivering safe and affordable activities, designed to bring together all members of the community, regardless of background.
Awarded highly commended at the Football League Awards for our work in north and central Essex, we are constantly striving to achieve our vision:
To work in partnership with communities, continuing to develop an inclusive range of sporting, educational and social opportunities, improving the quality of life for individuals and neighbourhoods.
As a registered charity (no 1088619), we ensure that all surpluses generated by the Trust are invested back into supporting local individuals and neighbourhoods.
Last year 22,000 people benefited from our sports, education, health and community activities. It is our unique approach to partnership working, which allows us to deliver such a breadth of activities for children as young as four- years-old through to adults.
While the hub of our activities are run from Shrub End Community & Sports Centre and the Weston Homes Community Stadium, we take great pride in our inclusive approach to meeting the needs of individual communities – we can only do this by physically working at sports centres and community spaces all over north and central Essex.
As with the communities we interact with, the Trust is also evolving and over the coming months, we will develop more resources at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, the home of Colchester United, allowing even more people to access our services.
