Colchester United FCBBC Blast
The BBC’s Blast tour hit Colchester between the 19th and 21st of November, with the arrival of a mobile creative village at Charter Hall. The Blast tour offers young people between the ages of 13-19 a range of creative workshops that will develop their skills and aspirations. Workshops on offer in Colchester included pantomime performance, chroma keying, filming, electronic music, fashion and radio production. Young people from a host of local schools and colleges enjoyed the opportunity to work with industry professionals and were able to use state of the art BBC equipment. Two showcases highlighted all the excellent work the young people had produced across the three days of the event, with performances of live music, mini – pantomimes, a fashion show, news bulletins and a variety of films. Young people involved thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to build new skills and discover the exciting opportunities available to them in the creative industries.
